TEACHER INFORMATION

If you want to sign up as a student representative and get paid for placing students with host families in your area, click here to fill out the application.

Please be advised, this is NOT a get rich quick scheme, you will NOT make $1 million a year by doing this. This IS a legitimate work at home business opportunity for moms, dads or anyone with no payments or cash expenditure necessary.

Thanks for your interest in becoming a student representative. This is a real opportunity for you to make money by helping us place students with families.  ForeignExchangeStudent.com has been assisting students, host families and representatives since 1998.

We get approximately 2000-2500 host family applications each year from all over the world (75% from the United States and 25% international). When a potential host family applies to the program, the ONLY way we can help them is if we have a representative in that area. We have to turn down 40% of our applicants for that reason alone.

This is where you come in. Because we get applications from all over the planet via the internet, we need reps all over. It doesn't matter if you live in New York City...Topeka, Kansas...Athens, Greece or London, England. We will receive an application for your area. And once that host family is approved in the program and the student gets placed in your area, YOU get paid.

A brief description of your responsibilities include, contacting potential host families to determine their eligibility for becoming a host family, contacting high schools in your host families school for the purpose of registering the foreign student, overseeing the student/host family once the student is placed.

For example, you live in Phoenix, Arizona and we receive a host family application from that general area. We forward their information to you. It would be your job to visit the family at their home and determine if they would be an adequate host family based on our specifications. You would also contact their references. Next you would make sure the school district that host family lived in has an opening for the exchange student (most school districts have 5-10 openings each year for exchange students). Then you would help the host family choose the student that will live with them for the next school year. And, finally you would be the liaison between the school, host family and student. This would be the basic procedure for every student placed in your area. All the necessary host family, school district and student information forms will be provided to you for you to accomplish this. And of course we're always available to help with any questions or hints. We want you to succeed!

Of course, you will want to get host families on your own too. The possibilities are endless; through your local schools, churches, civic organizations, job and clubs. Any responsible family is eligible to apply for the host program.

For every student that's placed in your area you get paid. As a student representative you will get paid $500 to $600 for every student you place with a host family in your area, which is typically a 100-125 mile radius. And if a local student you know becomes a foreign exchange student or if you recruit any student reps you'll get paid for that as well. In addition, by placing as few as 4 students per year you'll receive free trips to our yearly meetings. Our next one is in Munich, Germany in November '06!

There is no cost for you to sign up as a student rep. Some expenses that you will incur include gas (driving to schools, host families, etc.), phone (possible long distance charges if your student/host family lives in different area code), postage (mailing applications to school district or host families) among others. All the costs you incur will be tax deductible but you should consult a tax professional to determine those that are.

If you're not sure this opportunity is for you, why not host a foreign exchange student first? Click here

We have over 500+ students to place by next fall
and need 25-50 additional student reps to assist us.
